1990: On the Old Course at St. Andrews, reigning Masters champion Nick Faldo captured his second British Open title. Payne Stewart mounted a final-round challenge, but Faldo solidified his lead with a birdie at No. 15 and cruised to a five-shot victory over Stewart and Mark McNulty.
