1949: Sam Snead kicked off the tradition of the Masters Champion receving the Green Jacket with his come-from-behind victory in 1949.

Snead trailed by five strokes at the halfway point after posting rounds of 73 and 75. He posted a third-round 67 to pull within a stroke of Johnny Palmer and followed with another 67 on Sunday to win by three strokes.
