1952: In the year Ben Hogan began the tradition of hosting the Masters Club dinner, Sam Snead captured his second title. Snead opened with a 70, good enough for third place and followed with a 67 for the second-round lead. Snead posted a 77 due to heavy wins during the third round, but held on to the lead and shot a 72 on Sunday to clinch the title. |
