A win for the ages
As expected, the 2005 Presidents Cup came down to the very end, with Phil Mickelson and the U.S. Team providing a dramatic victory, 18½-15½. The Americans won four of the first five matches Sunday to set the pace.

Couples calm and collects
Overcoming a range of emotions Sunday, Fred Couples picked up a superb singles win over the world's No. 2 player, Vijay Singh. If this was his last appearance for his country in team play, it was a fine way to exit.

Funk pleased to be a winner
Fred Funk may have lost his singles contest with matchplay master Michael Campbell on Sunday, but he isn't all that bothered. More importantly, he is part of the winning team in this year's Presidents Cup. Read the final installment of his diary from Virginia here.
