1982 -- Pebble Beach Golf Links
Two familiar names graced the top of the leaderboard during final-round action of the 1982 U.S. Open -- Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus. In the end, it would be Watson's turn to soak up the spotlight, thanks to his dramatic finish on Sunday. Nicklaus could only watch as Watson's stellar chip on No. 17 found the cup for birdie. Watson followed with a 20-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole for the two-stroke victory.
